HAPPY 138TH BIRTHDAY, COLORADO!
Colorado and Proud!
August 1st marks the official birthday of Colorado, but the celebration continues well into the first week of August. We’re sure many of you have already spent a fantastic weekend enjoying all the festivities taking place all over the state with citizens, visitors and businesses celebrating Colorado with pomp and circumstance, but don’t stop celebrating just yet. Monday and Tuesday brings a few more “gifts” for all to enjoy.
Colorado State Parks
The Centennial State has 42 state parks and as a birthday present to all of us, not just those of us who live in Colorado and call it home, but to millions of tourist who visit our great state, the parks are waiving their entrance fees on Monday, August 4th, 2014. This state has an ever changing landscape to explore, from rivers to mountains, high plains, forest and desert land, not to mention an abundance of wildlife and flowers. This Monday is your chance to take it all in…for free!!!
It’s hunting season
As if free admission to Colorado’s many state parks isn’t enough, Colorado Parks and Wildlife are making available all the unsold licenses for the big game fall season on Tuesday, August 5th, 2014 starting at 9am MDT, so if you didn’t get it back in May now is your chance. Get your license, get outfitted and head out to claim one of Colorado’s many elk, deer, pronghorns and bears.
For over a century the Denver Tent Company has been proud to build out business and produce our products right here in the great state of Colorado. Our products may reach the far corners of the country, but it all begins in here and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Happy birthday, Colorado! And happy hunting!
