Options For Camping in the USA National Parks
USA National Park Camping
In the United States, there are a lot of national parks where you can camp, and it is an excellent idea if you enjoy nature, and also if you do not mind sleeping in a tent.
There are two very popular national parks that have good camping that we recommend: Yosemite and Grand Canyon.
It is essential to reserve ahead of time and find out about the place and what it offers. There is an online site that has a lot of information about nature tourism and camping; it is the government site, recreation.gov.
Yosemite is one of the most visited sites, and in the high season, it is difficult to find space.
Usually, most people visit the Grand Canyons South Rim because it is open all year, and it is close to Interstate 40. You can go by plane or by train. Since it is easier to get to the South Rim, it is very busy, especially during the summer season, so we recommend to reserve ahead of time.
There are 2 types of camping:
Camping that requires prior reservation. In high season it can be quite difficult to find a place. Most campgrounds have shared toilets and showers.
Camping where you do not reserve a place, so you have to be the first to arrive. It is advisable to check ahead because in many campgrounds this service is not offered in high season.
